I write this letter to express with great enthusiasm my admiration for the extraordinary talents of Timofey Yuriev in the creative fields of video conceptualization, script writing, editing, and graphic design.

Our company Voices & Visions (V&V) Productions is a video production company with experience spanning over 20 years. Among our clients are firms and nonprofits ranging in size and type from AIG Global Investment Group and Steiner Studios to Carnegie Corp. and NJ Performing Arts Center. Our principals’ roots were in the production of critically acclaimed PBS documentaries, which we continue to produce in countries around the world.

Our globally varied experiences have provided many opportunities to meet scores of people in the broad industry and related fields of video production. While the industry’s popularity has increased in recent years, it is nonetheless very rare to meet people who possess an almost inherent set of superb talents coupled with the skills and intelligence needed to execute ideas effectively. In this and so many other regards, Timofey stands out from the crowd.

V&V had the opportunity to work with Timofey on a video piece launching a new website for 24/7 Real Media. V&V cameraperson Curt Fissel was hired for the production of the video commercial. Prior to videotaping, Timofey provided us with a detailed storyboard bursting with humor and creativity. Its thoroughness enabled Curt to prepare every aspect of the complicated production in advance. The shoot itself mirrored the script in its ingenuity: Interesting and varied nontraditional videotaping approaches were welcomed and appreciated as their usefulness emerged. When we viewed the final product, we were impressed beyond words at Timofey’s ability to take the footage that captured the storyboard and mold it into a unique, funny, high-energy, original, fabulous video commercial. We knew immediately upon viewing it that Timofey Yuriev stands out in the class of people working on film and video production in every category from pre to post. We hope to have many more opportunities to work with Timofey in the future; the benefits to us and our clients will be enormous.
With much respect,

Ellen Friedland / Partner

Tim is a good friend and a great Creative Director. I am sad that he has moved to Canada as it represents a loss to me and my family. I miss his enthusiasm and his ability to concept difficult work. Any job worked with him on always started out with me telling him that it couldn't be done. I was always won over by his vision.

Tim, I want to take a moment to say how awesome it was to work with you. It is not often that one gets the chance to work with someone who has instant understanding of a situation and who is so incredibly creative. I think that your art as a film makers is a direct outgrowth of your incredible capacity to connect to people in a meaningful way. The work was exquisite, and doing it with you was a great pleasure.

Timofey,

As President of the American Sambo Association (ASA) and owner of American Sambo, LLC, I have had opportunity to work with several media consultants from internet, film, television, and radio. As you probably know, working with people on such projects has potential to be a difficult process... particularly when it comes to clear communication of concepts to creative consultants. I have had horrible experiences in which final products did not reflect my visions, intentions, or the image I wish to present for the ASA or martial arts. I must say that above all others, our working relationship was seamless and smooth. Not once did I feel out of the loop. Your willingness to regularly meet, consistently review progress, listen to my ideas, and field my seemingly endless phone calls and questions really provided comfort for me and confidence in you. I had complete belief in your ability to meet my needs and represent the image of the ASA in a positive light. Because of this, I also felt very comfortable allowing you to suggest and take the project in creative directions I had not considered prior. It was truly a joy to work with you. I would be more then glad to work with you in any future project.

I've worked with Timofey since 2000 in numerous iterations and on multiple projects. We have had a most enjoyable and enriching relationship. His creativity and perpetual "can-do" work ethic have always provided me with designs and platforms that provide compelling value for both my company and our clients. No matter the media, Timofey's work engages audiences and - in turn - produces results that exceed our objective.
